A steel wire head that swaps onto an electric trimmer in place of the line spool. It digs moss, weeds and packed dirt out of the gaps between paving stones. The working face is 12.5 x 1.6 cm, narrow enough to follow an edge along a wall or a kerb.

Nylon line takes the green off the top and leaves the root sitting where it was. Steel wire reaches into the joint and pulls the whole plant with it. Once the path is done the same head handles rust, flaking paint and burrs on metal.
One pass along the path instead of an afternoon on your knees.

Unplug the machine before fitting the head and check that the plate is flush against the shaft. Run along the joint rather than across it and let the wire cut rather than pushing down on it. Wear eye protection, since steel throws grit a lot further than nylon does.
Fit it on and get the path clear before the moss returns.
