Cast resin, finished by hand, frozen at the top of a leap. The figure measures 19 cm (7.5 in) tall and 10 cm (4 in) wide, so it registers from the far side of a lawn while still tucking into a planting. A shark version exists too, and the pair can be bought together.
Resin takes weather far better than the painted ceramic that cracks after one frost. The aged surface treatment reads as stone from a couple of steps back. And the pose does the work that a static ornament never manages.
A small object that earns a double take.

Where you set it matters more than the piece itself. Grass that partly covers the body, or a pond lip that cuts the base, beats the middle of an open lawn. Resin handles rain and sun year round, though storing it under cover through winter and rinsing it off in spring keeps the detail crisp.
