Kids Shooting Game – Aim, pump and knock the creature over

A shooting game where soft foam balls are fired at a dinosaur target using a hand pump. There are no batteries in it: the pressure comes from pumping. It works in a hallway, in the yard or on the beach.

Why this one holds up

Children stuck indoors will find something to throw sooner or later. Better that it is foam balls at a target built for exactly that. The game asks for aim and timing, which stays interesting longer than a single shot does.

Soft foam balls: light and with no hard core, so they leave the wall alone.
Hand pump: pumping builds the pressure, so no batteries are needed.
Dino target: a mark that topples, so a hit is obvious right away.
Indoors or out: works in a hallway as well as on grass.

Set the target about three meters out and move it back as that gets too easy. It is meant for ages four and up and contains small parts, so keep an eye on younger children. Collect the balls into the box afterwards, or they are gone within a week.
