Close-to-ceiling stone light – a little travertine shade for quieter rooms

Not every room needs a hanging lamp. This one sits tight to the ceiling, with a travertine shade set on a wood body and a single E27 bulb inside. It is sized for a bedroom, a study or a guest room.

Why go for this stone ceiling light?

You can fit it to the room with two sizes and three wood tones. With a 3000K LED bulb, the travertine reads as soft and warm rather than flat.

• Ordinary bulb: one E27 socket, so a new bulb is easy to find.
• Finish choice: natural wood, walnut or black on the larger model; natural wood or walnut on the smaller one.
• Large or small: a 5.9-inch shade at 7.5 inches tall, or 4.7 inches wide at 6.7 inches tall.
• Broad input range: works from 90V to 260V.

A small piece of real stone gives a plain white ceiling something to look at.

The stone has open pores and tone changes, so each shade is a little different. A wood body in the same tone as your floor or furniture ties the room together. In a long bedroom or over a desk, two of them in a row work well.
