This lamp runs on its own battery, so it goes where the wiring does not. Stick it to a wall, clip it to a shelf bracket, or stand it on a sideboard. It notices movement and lights up on its own, then steps back down when the room is quiet again.
Most of the work here is done without a switch. The head turns a full circle, the light dims, and the tone shifts between warm and cool depending on what the room is doing.
Between the sensor and the magnets, this is about as close to no-effort lighting as a battery lamp gets.
Hallways, stair landings, garage shelves and the inside of a deep wardrobe are the obvious spots. The body measures 18.8 by 8.2 cm, small enough to sit on a windowsill without blocking the view. Choose touch control if it lives within reach, or the remote version for lights mounted high up.
Put light exactly where the wiring stops.
