Personal sound amplifier – more detail in what is going on around you

A digital unit that picks up the sound in the room and passes it on louder. The chip handles the signal in three dimensions, so you keep a sense of where a sound is coming from. Five ear tip sizes ship in the box and you pick the fit yourself.

Why choose this sound amplifier?

Simple analog amplification lifts everything at once, background chatter included. Digital processing separates what is happening near you from what is going on behind it. Volume is set per side, so the left and right do not have to match.

HD audio chip: processes the signal digitally rather than simply boosting it.
Three-dimensional processing: direction and distance stay audible in the amplified sound.
Independent volume: one control sets each side on its own.
Five tip sizes: choose the one that stays put without pressing.
30 to 40 hours of use: a full charge takes about an hour over the cable.

Something you put in after breakfast and think about again at bedtime.

Start with the tip that stays seated without being pushed, since one that is too small lets sound escape around it. Set the volume low before you put the unit in and bring it up from there. The charging cable plugs into the port on the underside and fills the battery in roughly an hour.
