Galaxy orb light set – seven small spheres that spread color along a shelf

Seven glass spheres sit in a row on a wooden stand, each one carrying the motif of a different galaxy: Canis Major, Magellanic Cloud, Maffei I, Cygnus A, Milky Way, Andromeda and Maffei II. Lit from within, they throw colored light across the surface they stand on. One USB cable runs the whole set.

Why choose this orb light set?

Most accent lighting gives you one point of light. This gives you seven, each a different color and pattern, lined up on a stand you can move from a bookshelf to a desk in one hand.

Seven named motifs: every sphere carries its own galaxy pattern, so no two points of light look alike.
Glass on hardwood: the spheres are glass and the stand is solid wood, a pairing that holds up to daily handling.
One cable for the set: a single USB connection powers all seven, so there is one plug to deal with instead of seven.
Rail or disc stand: the long rectangular rail lines the orbs up; the round stand gathers them into a cluster.
Small on the surface: each sphere measures 4 cm across, so the whole set takes up little more than a picture frame.

Set it up once and it becomes the light you leave on in the evening.

The rail fits neatly along the back edge of a shelf or the top of a cabinet, where the light has a wall to work against. The round stand suits a side table, a windowsill or the middle of a dining table. Keep the glass clean with a dry cloth and the color stays crisp.
