The arm takes the weight through the pedal axle, which leaves the bike hanging level and parallel to the wall. Nothing on the mount touches the frame, so the finish stays as it was. Because the arm is angled, a second and a third bike can sit above the first in the same strip of wall.

A bicycle standing on the floor eats more room than anything else in a garage or a hallway. Hung sideways it sits flat, where nobody walks into it. Fitting is a bracket and a few screws, not an afternoon of assembly.
An hour with a drill and you have the floor back.

Mark the holes, drill 32 mm deep with an M6 bit, seat the expansion screws and tighten the bracket down before any weight goes on it. Hang the bike first to find the right height, then fix the two wheel rests underneath. Road, mountain and electric bikes all work, as long as the pedal axle is 20 mm or less.

Mark the holes and get it up on the wall.
