Bauhaus-style hanging lamp built from plain shapes and one bright detail

This hanging lamp borrows from the Bauhaus: basic geometry, no ornaments, form following function. A small red knob at the suspension point is the only accent.

What makes this Bauhaus lamp worth it

Simple shapes age well, and this one stays interesting even when it is switched off. The shade comes in red, green or white. Inside sits an integrated LED with three color temperatures.

• Geometric shade: a clean outline that suits wood, concrete and light walls
• Red knob detail: one deliberate dot of color at the ceiling point
• Integrated LED: energy-efficient, with nothing extra to screw in
• Three temperatures: warm, neutral or cool white from the same fixture
• Adjustable drop: set the cord length to suit the room

Design that does its job quietly and still gets noticed.

The plain form makes it easy to pair with other furniture styles. A green or red shade works as a color point in a neutral room, while white blends in. Two sizes let you match it to a small bistro table or a larger dining table.
